The last few days has thrown up some strange and interesting events in the media. It seems that things have been allowed to grow to the point where News International are no longer untouchable. Let's face it we all know they have been getting away with murder for years but who thought they would fall apart like this. It also looks like as well as being brought down, others are suddenly exposed and in the firing line. Is Sean Hoare's death linked or not? Hard to say but it probably guarantees this doesn't go away any time soon for NI and it won't just get swept under the carpet as easily as in the past,

A strange and crazy thing happened to me on Friday night. I was watching TV pretty late and there was a frantic knock at the front door. After checking since it was 2am I opened the door and there was a hysterical lassie trying to find her dad. She thought he was at the house across from us and went to the door to see if he was there, when she checked, the door was slightly ajar and noticed there was blood everywhere. I went to the door and pushed it open, it really was like a horror movie, blood everywhere and behind the door was a man dressed in pants and covered from head to toe in blood. his throat was cut and he had wounds all over. He was still alive but in a really bad way, I called an ambulance and the police and then tried to speak to him to see if he was able to talk. There were about 12 blue bags from the shop in the living room and each one had 3 empty Grants vodka bottles so there had been an alkie sesh of some sort going on for days and days by the look of it. There was no-one else in the house but there obviously had been as stuff was knocked over and smashed. Looks like a drunken rammy got totally out of control and the guy who's house it was got hurt really bad. The Police turned up and took over and asked me for a basic summary of what happened and how I ended up finding this guy. Eventually the Police came to our house about 4am and took a statement from me which I signed. Police were there most of the night and there is crime scene tape across the front of the house. The house is literally yards from our front door and we heard nothing. Scary scary stuff. Since heard that the guy is going to live and have been told by a few people that I probably saved his life, which is kind of messing my head up. Hero is not something I have ever seen myself as and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it either. It has made me think about life in general though, religion? do me a favour. Fate? perhaps but if there is such a thing as fate then luck has to be part of it, if I hadn't been up late to watch fitba I had Sky+ earlier, would he have made it? Is Sky+ the reason he made it? It's crazy how you start thinking these things and it's obvious there are more factors involved. Circumstance is one, I have found out the guy has been practically trying to drink himself to death because his wife died . Was he trying to go for one big session that no matter what he was going to end up dead by hook or by crook because he can't handle life any more and I've stopped his plans? A sort of strange death wish/suicide attempt? The other thing that's eating away at me is who did this to the guy, I thought maybe he had done it to himself by falling or something but his injuries were too severe. It truly was like something out of a horror movie, the good thing I suppose was that he survived. The other thing once you detach yourself from the goings on is can this happen anywhere? or is it because of where we live? We were meant to have the kids over this weekend and didn't because of circumstances/luck? (That luck factor again) So they didn't have to see any of this but it is a worry, they usually play fitba right outside the guys house on the patch of grass. Then there is the newborn, is she going to have to grow up in this type of environment because you can be sure that nothing will be done about this sort of situation affecting the decent people around here. We are like the forgotten society, we rent council houses or housing association houses, there are loads of reasons we cannot buy our way out of this situation by buying a home. My circumstances are bankruptcy due to debts run up by my ex-wife but left in my name as part of the divorce settlement. Others here have other circumstances, not always their fault but caught up as part of that forgotten society just as much as us. Surely we are entitled to live in a safe and harm free environment and bring our kids up without worrying about shit they shouldn't have to as kids? Surely the Police should be helping us rather than being suspicious of us because of where we live? Fuck the System? Nah!!! System's Fucked more like.......

Totally shat ma pants at work today, was washing my hands after going to the loo and my wedding ring slipped off and went straight down the plughole. I got the security guy who got the plumber out. He came in about 10 minutes and had to take apart the sink counter cos it was all boxed in. Then when he got the trap off it was the moment of truth, there was the ring covered in manky sink stuff but was so glad to get it back. Thanks. To the plumber he was brilliant and as he said "now this is what I would call a real emergency" lol

Docs and Maws

Had to go to docs today, not been feeling right last week or so, thought it might be my blood pressure but it checked out ok so might be due to stress hmmmm. After that we went up to see my mum, she still has a bad cough but as usual makes light of it, while Gordon stands smoking at the backdoor, unbelievable. Mum was so pleased to see Charlie and likewise. Charlie pleased to see her gran. Poor Sion is choked up with the cold as well, she needs a break from the day to day grind.

Wee one seems to be on the mend, she ended up with anti biotics because she was so I'll and her temperature was 39.9 deg C which is pretty dangerous. Better night last night although she's still not eating, Sion did great with her yesterday and is having a well deserved long lie.

Oh god I'm feckin fed up, car has decided to throw a sicky on the way home. Waiting on the cavalry but could be a while due to the terrible weather conditions. Joy. Sion sends me a message this morning saying the Sky isn't working so I tell her to switch power off at the wall and then power it back on. Still not working. When I get home from work discover it has indeed been switched off at the wall, switched off at the outside wall. Sky done doggy style so to speak, by that moron sprocket, he has bitten through the cables from the dish. No idea why as he has never seen the need to do this in all the time we have had Sky. What a tube!!!

Nother praccy nother drama lol. It's a nightshift week so rather than get his groove on Johnny boy got his crab shell on. A few outbursts of note were " You think yer aw-ways right, yer never wrong cos it's always someone else's fawt." "You just stop and start when you want, doesnae matter aboot anyone else." " You just stare at the ceiling cos yer no payin attention and then get a nudge cos yer meant to be playin." Quality stuff. Jim thought he knew what it was, either John had burnt his toast or he'd made the most perfect poached egg ever and dropped it out of the ladle onto the floor. Just had a proper fight across from the house, 2 young drunk arseholes shouting at each other then punching the shit out of each other. Screaming girlfriends kept getting in the road and sure enough one got knocked sparko getting in the way. Was well funny they are all still arguing and she's lying on the grass. Eventually the police arrived and lifted one if them, never understand that one, why not lift both of them? Nearly as entertaining as shameless lol, sadly was too dark to get a decent photo.

Lil un has had a gr8 day today, talking, laughing and smiling away.

Was sure it was Sunday but have since discovered it is Monday today, even more strange when it was Callum who pointed this out to me and he usually doesn't know what planet he's on, never mind day of the week. Finally got that friggin gate fixed, luckily John from next door felt sorry for me as I was sporting my trademark cut finger and got the grinder out to cut the metal post I was attacking badly with a blunt hacksaw.Took the kids home and felt bad as usual dropping them off, just get used to them being about and it's time up. We went up to visit Chris and Fiona and setup Chris's Ipod for him, although think Fiona may try to blag it now that she realises it's a nifty wee bit of kit, not just an mp3 player lol. Oh and Charlie put my top in the washing basket, I'm saying to him what a clever boy he was as well, helping to tidy up, what a tit I am lol

We had a great night last night, a wee celebration with some nice nibbles. The kids enjoyed it and stuffed their faces, quite a nice way to bring in the New Year. Although the fireworks going off at midnight we thought Charlie might wake up but she slept right through it. Watched my Billy Connolly DVD that I got for Christmas, was a good laugh but ended up falling asleep in the chair (old age?) lol. Got up this morning and still have sair ribs dunno what I've done to them. Sprocket has done a runner again so have 'called the cops' been round the whole scheme but no sign of the doofus.

End of my best year, ever!

2010 has been an absolutely amazing year for me!
In March, Ali and I were married in Stirling & I officially became a Stalker. Then in August came the birth of my first baby. She has been the most amazing experience. I cannot believe how totally and utterly I have fallen in love with her. Can't no Ali enough for her.
I am loving being a mommy and feel as tho I'm not half bad at it either lol.
We have been spending more time with family since she was born too, everyone is totally besotted with her and quite rightly so! She's amazing!
Sprocket has been good as gold with her too.
Her first Xmas has been wonderful. I'm so excited to see what amazing experienced 2011 brings!!
She's having a snooze at the moment (hence me having 5 seconds to do this hehe) before daddy has his first go at feeding her mushed carrots hehe I predict a mess!!
Ahhh what an amazing year, so many more to come, I'm looking forward to every minute!!

Went to get Charlie Cariad added to my arm as part of my tattoo along with Abbie and Callum. Of course Abbie and CC have the same star sign so the problem was how to incorporate it but Sion came up with the idea of adding the star sign into the smoke at the top. I got it done by Dave Crossley at Infamous Ink in Stirling and he came up with the idea of the star sign having no outline and being surrounded by the smoke so it is actually skin that makes the star sign. Only down side is I've got the bug to get more done again hehe.

Not the spectacular party celebration of Sioned's birthday due to wee baba arriving and taking up a lot of our time but managed to get Sion 'Guitar Hero Metallica' which she seems to love so I'm glad about that hehe. Funnily enough while she was playing it Charlie fell asleep despite the noise, must like loud guitar music just like her mum and dad. Charlie Cariad can sleep anywhere

So the day started out with me being woken up by a very cool Sioned, telling me she was getting contractions, had been all night and now that they were only minutes apart I should gey my finger out and get her up to hospital. We got up to the hospital by 8:30 after a tense journey of contractions and speeding lol. Then Sion gets examined and is told she needs to go up on ward 19 as even though there are contractions 2 min apart she is not fully dilated so cant go to the labour suite.

We get up to ward 19 and all they would give Sion was co-codamol which had no effect on the pain but proceeded to send her doo-lally and was even slurring her words cos she was out of it. The contractions carried on for hours with Sion regularly in a lot of pain trying to breathe through the contractions and also having to contend with her mum's knack of calling her mobile in the middle of a contraction. Eventually around 1:30 we were told they were going to take her down to the labour ward, if they hadn't Sion might have killed someone. She did great putting up with those contractions for that length of time.

We get down to the labour ward and Sion is immediately on the gas and air and much more able to deal with the pain, her mum had said when you get the gas and air don't let go and she didn't. Things progressed and so did Sion so much so that she was away with it on the gas and air and was having trouble focusing on pushing. I got the job of taking control of the magic gas and was growled at a few times but to her credit Sion did not swear once the whole time she was in the labour suite. She did however refer to the green save the world lady who was at our parenting classes and patronised everyone about home births and natural birth and no pain relief. I believe the quote was "Good luck with that you tree hugging bitch hahahahaheeeeeee" although Sion has no recollection of this or any of the other crazy stuff she was coming out with like Beatrix Potter visiting my mum, you get the idea lol.

Anyway around 5pm the midwife's started getting the plastic aprons on were trying to talk Sion through the last stages and when to push etc... Not happening so I had to ration her on the magic gas again until she came back down close enough to earth to start pushing. After several renditions of I'm dying and I can't do this, suddenly there is this dark hair ( so much for the ginger theory ) then suddenly she was delivered onto Sion and our little lady was here, absolutely amazing. We were left with her for about an hour to help bond which was also amazing to get that time.

Got all his stuff in and it seems that Yang approves and has managed to get herself comfy already, Ying won't be far behind I would imagine.

That's Abbie and the Wee yin's room done at last, made the room bigger by taking the stupid waste of space cupboards out, makes a hell of a difference to the room as does the colour scheme. The big Tinkerbell that Sion did is awesome and I think Abbie will like her room as will the wee yin once she finally arrives in August.

Here we go with yet another go at this blog, I think the previous efforts must have seasoned me by now to actually see this one through. So many things to say and never enough time probably don't make any sense but this time I am going to try to make the time.

Got our pup today, we have called him Sprocket, he is a chocolate labrador and is as cute as fuck. He already seems to have a great wee personality and is 8 weeks old, 16th december 2009 was his birthday. The cats noses are out of joint big time but they will come round once they realise they can kick his ass as most cats do with dogs if we are realistic. Only in cartoons does the dog chase the cat and not end up with a scran on it's nose. Couple of pics here of sprocket and pic him and his dad Holden, his dad is a stunning dog and so good natured.

Kids were over today and we took them with us to get Sprocket so that was a nice wee shock for them (was going to say surprise) but shock is probably more appropriate. I wish things could get back on track with Abbie but she doesn't make things any easier with her attitude. Meanwhile Callum is still asking when he can stay over again, whole situation is a mess and there is no simple answer. The trouble Abbie has caused with her lies and dramas is unbelievable and things may never be right again, makes me sad mostly.

Sioned has had another spew day, sadly there seems to be no sign of the morning sickness easing up, she has docs on Monday but not sure if they will be able to do anything. They are very good at holding their hands up and saying nothing we can do and pregnancy is one of their favourites in that category. Wish there was something I could do to help but holding her hair while she chucks doesn't really do much

Been a While

Been a while since last posted anything and a lot has happened since then. We have this meeting with the school, psychologist, social worker and my ex and her partner tomorrow. Really sad that it's got to this stage, we can hold our heads high though as all we have ever done is care and been there for the kids. Perhaps things will turn out ok but with my ex being there it's the thing that's worrying both Sioned and me. We shall see what happens.

We ended up in Glasgow and went for a meal later on, we went to the Kama Sutra in Sauchiehall Street. The food was pretty amazing as was the restaurant with all the roodie stuff on the walls. Best laugh of the night was Mike claiming after the fire brigade had been to put him out, that he thought the dangerous looking single Chilli on top of his dish was a green bean. Yeah a green bean lol, he said it was definately the hottest thing he has ever eaten and to be fair to Mike he does like his Spicy food so it must have been pretty fierce.You can also see a rare occurence in one of the pics, Beth actually on the mainland and being nice to the cameraman.

Yoghurt Monster

Ok so this one is a class act and perfect timing by Sion with her camera on her phone. Yang being the greedy bugger that she is spotted Sions Yoghurt pot on the couch. She started licking it and decided she likes yoghurt, she then proceeded to get her head stuck in the yoghurt pot as you can see for yourself. She then stumbled backwards and fell off the couch with the yoghurt pot still stuck to her head, I think you can see that in the last picture just at the point of no return.

Fridge Monster

Today I was going to meet Sion for lunch so I was making up sandwiches in the kitchen. I got the butter out the fridge and when I went to get some cold meat out of the fridge seconds later. I open the fridge and out tumbles eggs, cheese, cold meat and of course Yang. A couple of eggs broke and Yang put her foot in the mess. She sat there like Buddha licking the egg off and the look on her face was "What? what? you never seen a cat in the fridge before." I pissed myself laughing for nearly 10 minutes, we'll need to keep an eye on her to avoid a cold or frozen kitty. :-)

Grub Monster

Yang is a grub monster, she has discovered food, all types. While Ying still only covets food in the bowls, Yang will harass you if you have any type of food. She seems to be quite partial to Beef and Onion crisps, chocolate, Bovril and anything on your plate seems to be fair game to the bold Yang.

Lost kitten?

Rocky Reunion

So the terrible trio have been back together, the fighting now seems to be getting taken a bit more seriously, they are also hunting each other so they are starting to learn more and more. Dini is posing for the camera heh heh, Yang is concentrating on an imaginary fly and Ying finally accepts that this actually her bed, not the large one in the bedroom. She is not stapled to the bed before anyone asks, although Sion does have a staple gun. :-)

Focaccia DIY

So Sion fancied making some bread, the adventure began with muchos mixing, then resting and kneeding (although I think there could have a few low blows as well) then more resting and a final dig or two. Some chopped garlic, thyme and some olive oil was added and the result was this focaccia, it was lush and Sion is well chuffed. Yum Yum Yum.

An Introduction and 7 weeks old

Today we are seven weeks old and we are exploring the flat now, we are into everything we can be and learning all the time. We are growing as well, we are at least twice the size we were when we arrived in Alloa and we really like to eat food now, loads of it.

We sneaked into Abbie and Callum's room and introduced ourselves to the hamster, everything was very amicable and we listened to what the hamster had to say.

We said goodbye and Ying even got a cheeky wee kiss. Awwww hehehe

So here's proof that Sion likes a hat, she just can't help herself can she hehehe, anywhere we go if there is a hat, she'll try it on, she likes hats, that is all.

Funny Looks

Sion had her hair trimmed and it looks really good but she has been giving me looks like this, as if she thinks i'm being nice about it but her hair looks lush.

Her brother Rhys is in court this week to see what happens to the taxi driver who nearly killed him by deliberately running him over with his taxi. He was in a bad way for a while but it will be interesting to see what happens, whether justice is done or not.

Good looks and hunting

Look at me! I'm starting to look really cute, my eyes have started to turn green as well so I thought I would try and get my best pose. I was practising hunting today, i'm getting good at sneaking up on my sister Yang especially when she falls asleep in the drawer.
She loves it really although she did chase me round the room for ages after, maybe she did get a wee bit of a fright after all? Not my fault I know her favourite snooze spot.

More Visitors

We had visitors again, Nicky and Ana came to see us, their cat is called Fu Manchu but we're glad they didn't bring him with them because he would probably just try to eat us because we are so small. Dini was over again and we were playing with a balloon, could have been scary if it went pop. We all had something to eat and then yet another power nap/snooze before running about and getting up to mischief again.

Big in Falkirk

We went to "Big in Falkirk" today, it's a free 2 day event in Callander Park, they had all sorts of things on for the kids but they were all pre-booked which was a bit of a pain because the kids couldn't get on any of them. I was crabbit and Sion ended up getting fedup with me being snappy, which I apologise to my gorgeous for once again, just one of those days. Shouldn't be crabitt with the ones I love, why do we do things like that? It just doesn't make sense.

We went to the park with the kids because that was really the only thing they could get on but it was mobbed as well. They still had fun though even if they had to queue to get on some of the things.

Then wandered about and watched some of the bands on the big stage but because we were skint, things like food made the kids crabbit but Muller Rice did give away free stuff so we didn't starve.

There were also these strange looking folk with weird hair on horseback, don't know what the story was with them but they deffo were creepy looking.

Clever Kitties

First One

So I was doing this blog for the kittens and I thought why not do one for me and Sion? The problem with things like this is keeping it going and i'm one of the worst culprits for it so we'll see how it goes hehe. Sion is pretty good at stuff like this, she has a better memory than me but I do still remember to turn the cooker off. I'm writing this while being attacked by Yang, practising her climbing skills on my legs and kitten or not, those claws are still sharp.

A visit from Sis

Our sister Dini came to visit us tonight, we all got stuck into the food and then we were playing for ages, running about chasing each other. Then it was onto climbing or climbing while getting your feet bitten by the other two kitty's. This of course led to a fight or two and we had a right good scrap with each other. After all that running about we all had a wee nap.

Six weeks later

Today we are six weeks old and we are now a real handful, we play all the time and love being mischievous whenever we can. We are getting good at jumping and climbing, we can climb up anyone's leg now, even if they do scream ( something about claws? ) sure we'll figure that one out later.

Wow! we're really getting the hang of this food thing, we love chicken and rabbit and duck and tuna and all of it, we love all of it, we love food hehehe. Now we're eating our food we are getting bigger every day and learning loads of new things.

Ying and Yang and Houdini move in

We are just over 5 weeks old and are now in our new homes, Ying and Yang live in Alloa and Houdini lives in Stirling with John, we are learning to play and jump and get into just about any wee scrapes that we can.

A month old

So we are now a month old and are much more full of life and starting to play. We have started eating a wee bit Weetabix and it was yummy. Dini looks crazy in the picture with Abbie, she is the cheekiest and cleverest of us all.

Our Mummy

This is our mummy, she's called Tigger, she has looked after us all since we were born. She is very tired just now but she still looks after us all the time and is a really good mum.

3 weeks old

So we are 3 weeks old now and starting to get more active, Houdini gets her name from being a bit of an escape artist and a character as well. We will be starting to eat some real food soon and giving our mum a bit of a break. We are also moving about a lot more but we are really unsteady on our feet but we will get better the older we get.

Week 2

We have been a bit more active this week and we are seeing a little bit better but we still rely heavily on our Mum and our Mum's owners who look after us really well. We saw our new owners again this week and a little girl and boy called Abbie and Callum, they were pretty excited to see us but we have been tired again, sleepy kitties...

First Week

Well there has been a lot of sleeping this first week, our Mum has been feeding us and looking after us. We have met our new owners and we will be moving to Alloa when we are 5 - 6 weeks old. Our sister Dini is the mischievous one and has been teaching us bad habits heh heh!

We have arrived

Today we were born, Ying, Yang and our sister Dini. We also have 2 other sisters but we don't know their names. We are going to Live with Sion and Ali in Alloa after we can eat properly on our own and Dini is going to live with John in Stirling. All we really do just now is sleep a lot...night night.
